Overview

Paradise Valley is one of Morocco's best-kept secrets — a lush palm canyon carved by the Tamraght river just 35 km north of Agadir. Hike between natural rock pools fed by ice-cold mountain springs, swim under overhanging cliffs, and picnic in the shade of towering palm trees. A perfect escape from the beach.

Day-by-Day Itinerary

Depart Agadir at 9:00 am. Arrive Paradise Valley by 10:00 am. Guided gorge hike, swimming in natural pools, Berber lunch under the palms. Return to Agadir by 5:00 pm.

Frequently asked questions

Will there be water in the pools?
It depends on the season. Levels swing hard: after winter rain the pools are at their best, and after a long dry spell some shrink or disappear. Spring is the most reliable window. We will tell you honestly what the current conditions are before you travel.
Can children do this trip?
Yes, it is one of our more family-friendly day trips. The walk to the main pools is short and straightforward, and the swimming is the point. The jumping rocks are optional and there is plenty to do without them.
How early should we leave?
Early. Paradise Valley is about ninety minutes from Agadir, and arriving before the mid-morning crowd changes the experience considerably — the difference between having a pool largely to yourselves and sharing it.
