The ultimate desert circuit starting from Agadir — and it has one advantage over every Marrakech tour: two destinations that Marrakech tourists miss. Taroudant's perfectly preserved 16th-century ramparts and Taliouine's saffron fields are worth the early start. From there the itinerary follows the great southern arc: Aït Ben Haddou, Ouarzazate, the Dades Valley, Todra Gorge, and Erg Chebbi — the most iconic dune field in Morocco. Four days that show you the full width and depth of the Moroccan south.
Pick-up from your Agadir hotel at 6:30 am. Drive east to Taroudant — explore the best-preserved 16th-century ramparts in Morocco and the ancient Berber spice market. Continue to Taliouine for a saffron cooperative visit. Drive through Ouarzazate and stop at the UNESCO Ksar of Aït Ben Haddou. Continue through the dramatic Dades Valley. Arrive hotel by 6:00 pm. Dinner and overnight.
