Overview

For strong, experienced trekkers, this is the ultimate High Atlas challenge: three 4,000-metre summits in three days. From the Toubkal Refuge you climb the twin peaks of Ouanoukrim — Timesguida (4,089 m) and Ras (4,083 m) — before the grand finale on Jbel Toubkal (4,167 m) itself. With limited time to acclimatise and 1,000 m of ascent on consecutive days, it demands genuine fitness and mountain experience, but rewards you with three of the highest points in North Africa.

Day-by-Day Itinerary

Transfer from Marrakech to Imlil. Trek up the Aït Mizane valley past Sidi Chamharouch to the Toubkal Refuge. 4–5 hours. Acclimatisation and rest before two big summit days.

Frequently asked questions

Who is this three-peaks route for?
Experienced trekkers — it is graded expert, linking three 4,000 m summits in the Toubkal massif over three days. You should already be comfortable at altitude and on sustained ascents.
Do I need special equipment?
In winter, crampons and an ice axe are required (rental available) and the guide is high-altitude qualified. Personal trekking equipment is your own, and travel insurance with altitude cover is mandatory.
Where do we stay?
Two nights in the Toubkal Refuge with all trek meals included. It is a working mountain hut — shared bunks and cold nights.
Do I carry my own gear?
No — a mule porter carries the group gear to the refuge, so you climb with a daypack on summit days.
