Overview

The Anti-Atlas is Morocco's most underrated mountain range — older than the Atlas, stranger in shape, and completely untouched by tourism. Pink granite peaks, saffron-toned gorges, almond groves in blossom, and Berber villages where life has not changed in centuries. Starting from Agadir, this is real Morocco.

Drive to Tafraoute (2h30). Visit the painted rocks. Begin trekking into the almond gorges. Night in a Berber guesthouse.

How hard is this trek?
It is graded moderate — three days on foot in the Anti-Atlas with two nights in Berber guesthouses. It is more demanding than a day walk but does not require prior high-altitude experience.
Do I have to carry my own bags?
No. A mule carries the equipment between stops, so you walk with a daypack. Personal hiking gear is not provided.
What is included?
A certified mountain guide, two nights of Berber guesthouse accommodation, all meals, round-trip transport from Agadir, and a mule for equipment. Travel insurance (recommended), personal hiking gear, and tips are not included.
Where do we sleep?
In Berber guesthouses in mountain villages — simple, hosted accommodation rather than hotels, with all meals included.
